Whatever the Wind Brings

A music tracker on your browser

Even though trackers and I never got along that great, I'm still an enthusiast. I like the way they work, I guess. I'm enthralled by mouseless software, and a lot of trackers were made just for that kind of environment, so I spend more time having fun with the stuff on screen than trying to properly make music. It also feels like you have to know what you want to do in a tracker, instead of just being able to experiment and see what sticks, which is how I mostly work (because I'm usually too tired to think things through, haha).

Anyway, it's called BassoonTracker, it can load .mod and .xm files, it can export your song, and it runs in a browser. I've been sitting on this one for so long that I even forgot I had this tab opened (I literally have 90 tabs hibernating at the moment, so... yeah). There are many demo projects loaded already and quite a few samples. It's pretty neat.
